Nothing like a lightweight backpack to keep your hands free and evenly distribute your personal belongings on your back. Having done my fair share of hiking in the White Mountains I know the value of a great rucksack…and pay homage to the epic designers that create gear meant for arduous adventures! This pack, while super durable, was designed with bikers, day hikers, beach goers, park walkers, flea market aficionado’s, day trippers, first time or seasoned travelers, etc. in mind.
Each backpack is created from 100% retired sailboat sails and boasts a large flap that has two zipper pockets (one made out of puncture resistant mesh) and an inside spinnaker sail drawstring to secure the big stuff. The adjustable, shoulder straps are made from a low profile, smooth nylon webbing that will be kind to bare shoulders. As with all my sailbags, I stitch some of the sail legacy into each bag, sharing a bit of the sail’s provenance over the years.
Enjoy finding the perfect bag for your needs and know that each one was hand-made by me in New Hampshire. Any sail maker’s logo incorporated into the design was part of the retired sails and I found a new place of honor for it on that sailbag.
